Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Process
Our Professional Cabinet Refinishing Process
Transforming your kitchen with precision, durability, and a factory-like finish.
Phase 1: Preparation & Protection
We treat your home with the utmost respect. Before a single drop of paint is moved, we ensure your space is Ready for any paint
• covering all Floors and countertops. And any appliances is a must.
• Containment: If spraying on-site, we set up professional plastic screening to prevent overspray from traveling to other rooms.
• Hardware Removal: All doors and drawer fronts are labeled and removed to be processed in our controlled environment.
•We take all the doors and drawers to get refinished in our shop. To ensure a hassle free mess in your home.
Phase 2: The "Secret" to Longevity: De-Gleaning
Paint only sticks as well as the surface allows. Most cabinets have years of cooking oils and waxes that must be removed.
• Chemical Cleaning: We use industrial-strength degreasers to strip away hidden residues.
• Mechanical Sanding: We lightly sand every surface to create a "profile"—a microscopic texture that allows the primer to "bite" into the wood.

Phase 3: The Foundation (Priming)
We don't use standard wall primer. We use high-build, stain-blocking primers specifically designed for cabinetry.
• Tannin Blocking: This prevents "bleed-through" (yellowing) from wood knots or old stains.
• Fine-Grit Sanding: Once the primer is dry, we sand it smooth to remove any raised grain, ensuring the final coat is buttery soft.

Phase 4: The Finish Coats
This is where the magic happens. We apply premium, cabinet coatings.
• Spraying: We use Pressure sprayers to achieve a smooth, factory-grade finish
• Multi-Coat Application: We apply at least two top coats of specialized cabinet coatings or enamel for maximum chip and water resistance.

Phase 5: Reinstallation & Reveal
• The Build-Back: Once fully cured, we bring your doors back, reinstall the hardware (or install your new handles), and check every hinge for perfect alignment.
• Final Inspection: We do a walkthrough with you to ensure every inch meets our standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the process take?
Typically, a professional kitchen transformation takes 3 to 5 days, depending on the size of your kitchen and the number of cabinet doors. We work efficiently to minimize the "down-time" in your home while ensuring every coat has proper time to cure. We do one kitchen at a time.
Does the paint peel or chip?
This is our most common question! Because we use factory finish coatings and perform a rigorous mechanical sanding and priming process, our finish is designed to bond permanently to your wood. Our finish is as durable as a factory-bought cabinet. Life time guarantee on paint peeling because we are confident it won’t.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship. We provide a full warranty on our labor and finish to give you peace of mind that your "new" kitchen will look beautiful for years to come.
Can I use my kitchen during the process?
While we are working, we ask that the kitchen remain a "work zone" to keep the environment dust-free. However, since we take your doors back to our specialized shop for spraying, your kitchen remains functional for light use in the evenings.
Do I need to empty my cabinets?
You only need to clear off your countertops and empty the items from your drawers. In most cases, you do not need to empty the inside of the cupboards. Hassle free process.
